Beans from this Indonesian island are unlike any other in the world. This is due to their unique processing protocol, which falls somewhere between washed and unwashed. The Gayo people occupy the northern part of the island, where the best coffee grows. Conscious roasts this one a bit darker to augment the heavy body and accentuate the inherent earth notes in the cup. If you use cream and/or sugar, this a a great coffee for you.
I have been a subscriber since their launch, having been introduced to Better Grounds at a coffee festival. I have enjoyed every monthly selection so far! Their service is a great choice for anyone who, like me, wants easier access great quality coffee and anyone who might feel overwhelmed trying to look into the sourcing bonafides of different brands.
