This coffee comes from the Finca El Vergel farm, which is owned and operated by brothers Shady and Elias Bayter. YIELD has been working alongside Shady and Elias for over three years now, and voluntarily pays a premium of an additional $1 per pound over standard pricing to support a higher standard of living for the Finca El Vergel farmers and farm workers.
This coffee is processed with the traditional washed process, is fermented for 12 to 24 hours in mucilage, and dried in the sun on patios for 10 to 15 days.
I have been a subscriber since their launch, having been introduced to Better Grounds at a coffee festival. I have enjoyed every monthly selection so far!
