This coffee is grown at high altitudes deep within the rainforest canopy in the mountains of Matagalpa, Nicaragua. Diego Chavarria is the owner of the family-owned coffee farm that was started by his great great grandfather and passed down through the generations. Diego's farm is approximately 300 hectares and produces around 160,000 pounds of green coffee annually.
Through Finca El Dorado, Diego employs over 300 workers during the harvest season, supports 40 churches (and growing) around the mountains of Matagalpa, and is heavily involved in community building activities.
