They are the second largest producer of Ethiopian Sidama coffee. Most of its producer members are Organic and Fair Trade certified. Nearly all their coffee is grown in the shade of diverse, indigenous trees.

The Fero Cooperative joined the Sidama Union in 2005 and is its largest, most productive and successful member. Ethiopian Fero coffees are grown at 1,800-1,900 meters above sea level with harvest time occurring between September and December, depending on the coffees altitude and rainfall.

I have been a subscriber since their launch, having been introduced to Better Grounds at a coffee festival. I have enjoyed every monthly selection so far! Their service is a great choice for anyone who, like me, wants easier access great quality coffee and anyone who might feel overwhelmed trying to look into the sourcing bonafides of different brands. I appreciate that they do this work for their clients, and also support different roasters who are doing good work.
